How a 1% Listing Commission Can Save You Thousands When Selling Your Home

When you sell your home, there are typically two agents involved:

The Listing Agent

The agent responsible for selling the home

The Buying Agent

Represents the buyers of the home

Outdated Traditional Commission:

As payment for their services, each agent typically receives 2.5% of the final selling price, so the total you will pay is 5%
If your Toronto home sells for $1,000,000.00 for example, you will pay $50,000.00 in total commissions. The two agents involved would then split that total commission and receive $25,000.00 each.
